Andrew is a dynamic guitar coach with a deep-rooted passion for jazz, blues, and contemporary guitar. Currently studying a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance (expected 2027), he also holds a Diploma in Music Performance from the Jazz Music Institute, where he graduated with distinction.

Equipped with a strong foundation in both performance and theory, Andrew confidently teaches a wide range of styles including rock, pop, blues, country, metal, jazz, soul/R&B, and funk. He specialises in fingerstyle and jazz techniques and also offers beginner instruction on bass guitar and ukulele. His lessons incorporate improvisation, songwriting, composition, ear training, and DAW-based recording, giving students a rich, well-rounded musical education.

Andrew draws inspiration from artists such as Bill Frisell, Julian Lage, John Frusciante, and Derek Trucks—musicians known for their expressive tone, versatility, and deep musicality. His own performance journey includes regular live appearances with his projects Andy Behne Music and Swing Set, focusing on jazz and blues.

Having experienced firsthand the power of great teaching, Andrew is committed to helping his students navigate their own musical path. “My mission is to give you all the tools you’ll need on your musical journey,” he shares. His teaching is driven by a genuine desire to pass on the insights that once transformed his own playing.
