With a Bachelor of Music in Contemporary Performance and a Diploma in Audio Engineering, Jacob is well-equipped to guide people through the intricate world of guitar playing and beyond.
Jacob’s extensive knowledge spans across various genres including Rock, Pop, Blues, Country, Metal, Soul/R&B, and Funk. This diverse repertoire allows him to tailor lessons to suit the unique tastes and goals of each client. Whether you’re looking to play the soulful bends of blues or the energetic riffs of rock, Jacob has the expertise to help you excel.
An active performer, Jacob regularly takes the stage with his band, The Free Drifters, delighting audiences with their country tunes. His notable performances include the Linkin Park Tribute Show, and a memorable appearance at the Carnival of Flowers Main Stage. These experiences not only highlight his talent but also his commitment to live music.
Jacob’s musical journey is influenced by renowned artists such as Tom Delonge, Ilan Rubin, U2, Incubus, Trent Reznor, Josh Homme, Hans Zimmer, and Jim James. These inspirations are reflected in his versatile approach to teaching, songwriting, and composition.
In addition to guitar, Jacob is skilled in drums and keys, and is knowledgeable about pedals and effects. He also excels in home recording, maintenance and care, and technology, offering students a comprehensive understanding of music production.
Jacob believes in applying practical methods and exercises to demystify the theory behind guitar playing. His personal mission is to empower students to unlock their potential, guiding them from beginners to proficient musicians.
