Meet Lucas, a dedicated guitar coach at The Guitar Gym, specialising in a variety of musical genres, including rock, pop, blues, metal, jazz, classical, country, funk, and soul/R&B. With an upper intermediate proficiency in teaching both guitar and bass guitar, Lucas provides valuable insights into various playing styles and techniques. He is also well-versed in sight reading, songwriting, composition, ear training and more. 

Lucas has a strong background in performance, regularly playing live with multiple bands. He is core member of Valhalore, the Brisbane based iconic folk metal band, and also performs with Your Man Alex Smith, which covers musical theatre and pop rock. Additionally, he contributes to Sasuga!, a Japenese rock band, and engages in various theatre projects and various session work as guitarist.

His notable performance history includes opening for major acts like Arch Enemy, Blind Guardian, Alestorm, Caligula’s Horse, and Kamelot. He was also set to perform at the prestigious Wacken Open-Air festival in 2020 prior to the covid-19 pandemic. Lucas has toured Japan in 2018 and completed several Valhalore tours across Australia, showcasing his talent at iconic venues such as The Forum in Melbourne.
