Come along to find out one of the most important things a jazz guitarist can learn – how to accompany a soloist! Comping for someone is about engaging in a real-time conversation, where the two (or more!) of you work together to create something spontaneous that is at once musical, and also more than simply the sum of its parts. This workshop will cover an overview of common jazz chord voicings, common chord movements (the famous ii-V-I!) and how to put these together in a meaningful way!
